Why Is Creativity Important in Grief Experiences?
Grief is a universal experience that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others, particularly in a world that values productivity and success above all else. This disconnection can leave us feeling like outsiders and limit our ability to learn how to live life in the face of various grief experiences. However, reconnection is possible through the power of creativity with ourselves and others. By asking creative questions, exploring what we still carry, and finding what is generative in our lives, we can learn to reconnect with our heARTmaking and to live more fully.

New Podcast: Creating Space for Grief and Hope
Two of our Creative Grief Studio alumni have joined together to create a new podcast! Creating Space for Grief & Hope, is now streaming across all podcast platforms. Holly Gainsboro (Sept 2015) and Elizabeth Catignani (Feb 2013) are your hosts and will be discussing all things grief and hope - navigating the healing journey, candid stories, practical tools, and heart-centered wisdom for life after loss. In the first episode you can meet your hosts, learn about their journeys and gain some new tools for your own unique path. From there, they go on to talk about reframing the way we talk about grief, honoring feelings, continuing bonds and much more. This podcast is not limited to the sadness that comes with loss, but also offers hope and inspiration!

We are free, freedom meaning we can identify ourselves in any way we imagine.
Imagination empowers our own existence, the freedom to define our experiences.
To me, there is no preconceived meaning or causation, we are free to define life.
