The ONE rules all. Nothing has authority over it.
It is the God.
It is Father of everything,
Holy ONE
The invisible ONE over everything.
It is uncontaminated
Pure light no eye can bear to look within.

The ONE is the Invisible Spirit.
It is not right to think of it as a God or as like God.
It is more than just God.

Nothing is above it.
Nothing rules it.
Since everything exists within it
It does not exist within anything.
Since it is not dependent on anything
It is eternal.

It is absolutely complete and so needs nothing.
It is utterly perfect
Light.

The ONE is without boundaries
Nothing exists outside of it to border it
The ONE cannot be investigated
Nothing exists apart from it to investigate it
The ONE cannot be measured
Nothing exists external to it to measure it

The ONE cannot be seen
For no one can envision it
The ONE is eternal
For it exists forever
The ONE is inconceivable
For no one can comprehend it
The ONE is indescribable
For no one can put any words to it.

The ONE is infinite light
Purity
Holiness
Stainless,

The ONE is incomprehensible
Perfectly free from corruption.
Not “perfect”
Not “blessed”
Not “divine”
But superior to such concepts.
Neither physical nor unphysical
Neither immense nor infinitesimal
It is impossible to specify in quantity or quality
For it is beyond knowledge.

The ONE is not a being among other beings
It is vastly superior
But it is not “superior.”

It is outside of realms of being and time
For whatever is within realms of being was created
And whatever is within time had time allotted to it
The ONE receives nothing from anything.
It simply apprehends itself in its own perfect light

The ONE is majestic.
The ONE is measureless majesty

Chief of all Realms
Producing all realms

Light
Producing light

Life
Producing life

Blessedness
Producing blessedness

Knowledge
Producing knowledge

Good
Producing goodness

Mercy
Producing mercy

Generous
Producing generosity

[It does not “possess” these things.]

It gives forth light beyond measure, beyond comprehension.

[What can I say?]

His realm is eternal, peaceful, silent, resting, before everything.
He is the head of every realm sustaining each of them through goodness.
I really like it, although the theologian in me thinks calling 'this one' God is allowed as long as God is conceived of as inconceivable... (as you have done).

BTW: Where is the Love?
Actually a good question.

I did not make up the post text.

Except for capitalizing the word "One" in seemingly relevant places, the text is a direct excerpted lift from:

The Secret Book of John (The Apocryphon of John) - Translated by Stevan Davies (Translation presented in The Gnostic Society Library)

[The Teaching of the Savior]
The Revelation of the Mysteries Hidden in Silence
[Those Things that He Taught to John, His Disciple]

Maybe what we call "God" is ultimately not what we think, believe or understand or (as the text suggests) or are even capable of understanding.

There is suggestion, as I recall, in some of the recently viewed NDEes, that the ultimate "Source" of all-there-is (ATI), is beyond description and, if anything, is likened more to a form of creative energy. (This may be the idea of where God as spirit derives from ).

Also, recall what I was trying to say to you all about NDEers stating that there are rooms/dimensions/layers to the creation.

Review the NDE below:

David's NDE

At 4:15 PM on December 22, 1986, I felt as though I was dying, really dying. I lay down and soon was flooded by the most intensely bright white light filled with the most awesome Power and Love in the universe. In the light I heard the thunderous fluttering winds and the most beautiful sounds of angels voices singing louder than the thunderous winds. My body was becoming paralyzed with the power of the Light. The Love was overwhelming to me. I was terrified of losing control over my bodily functions-- desire to be in control, desire itself, movement, thought, everything human was dying in this light.

When it swallowed me whole, an explosion of Ecstasy and Love started from my belly and expanded into the light itself. Soon, I became the Light and became Innocence, Love, Ecstasy, Peace, Power and Beauty and Wisdom of the Light. Like a mother carrying a child in her arms, the light carried me upwards and at tremendous speed. The Light itself spoke to me and I knew it was God, the Power that created the whole universe. The Light told me this first clear light heaven I was in (which was a million times brighter than any love I ever felt on earth), was filled with countless paradise planets. I looked down at my body and it was made of white light but still had a luminous human form.

I spent some time there, but was taken higher, where the Joy and Glory of God was crushing me to the point that I could not bear the Ecstasy any longer, thus I exploded into a new light and Glory of Innocence, Love, Ecstasy, Peace, Power and Wisdom one million times brighter than the first Heaven was. My new body was brighter and clearer and could somehow withstand this exponential increase in Glory. I was told this Second Heaven was filled with countless paradise planets. In each ascending Heaven, the Glory of these qualities in the light, multiplied another million times. It is inconceivable how bright and beautiful life is in these heavens to any mind alone, separate from this light. I was taken to the point where the Ecstasy and Love were so overwhelming; I could barely stand the levels of cosmic energy and Ecstasy any longer.

I exploded into a new light one million times brighter than the Second Heaven; thus the Third Heaven. Here, my body was still human but so much white light shining from it I could not believe my eyes. I could see for millions of miles with perfect clarity. The sounds of the Angels' singing was so beautiful, and thunderous and Glorious above me, I felt as if their sound vibrations were filled with wisdom, (so sophisticated) that these sound vibrations were actually creating life and myriad possibilities in the universe: that Angelic sounds were not just singing for the fun of it alone, but were creating with sounds.

I sped through this Third Heaven and was taken into the fourth where the Glory of God was so bright, I felt any being here was beyond even inconceivable Glory. My body was so bright here that it had little remains of the human form. The Glory was so bright and filled with these qualities, I told God "I can't take any more. You are far greater than I ever imagined God to be by inconceivable measure. Whole Galaxies of energy could be created by this light.

I asked God to not take me higher, but God did. At this point, because the Glory was so bright and beyond my abilities, this amazing quality, descending down from the even brighter light above me. I do not think there are any planets up here, but perhaps beings live inside of stars here. The Grace of God, the most beautiful and poetic quality of God came down like millions of leaves falling in harmony and stilled and purified the Ecstasy and Glory to the point that I could bear it. I could write a whole chapter on Grace and not do it justice.

Then I was taken into the Fifth Heaven. My body was now like a giant sun. It had no human form any more. The Glory here was unspeakable. What goes on here is truly unbelievable for human beings.

I stayed there for some time and was taken into the Sixth Heaven, which is a million times brighter than the Fifth. I will not speak about how bright God is here. The Angels were singing so loud that no human ears could hear this music of the universe. My body was an even brighter sun merged into the central light of God.

I was then taken into the Seventh heaven, and what happens there is so far beyond my abilities, God brought me down. I only lasted ten seconds in the Seventh Heaven. Whole galaxies could be created with the light there with total ease. Any beings that can go there are millions of years more evolved than I am. To think that in each of these higher heavens the Light and Glory of Innocence, Love, Ecstasy, Peace, Power, Beauty, Grace and Wisdom multiplies a million times over the preceding heaven, makes it so difficult to pass through and live in.

===========================================================================
"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know--God knows. And I know that this man--whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows--was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell."
- 2 Corinthians 12:2-4
Lets throw a Monkey Wrench into your neat post Rey

Just for the sake of discussion , who says there is only one, ONE.

Maybe there is a whole planet of One's, with a Super One at the top of their food chain also !!!!

As if we aren't having enough problem conceiving Just one , One

What If ????

I would just say, why not?
Weren't we told in the old scriptures not to make ourselves an image of 'God'? But the word 'God' today is crushing under the overload of all kinds of images and imaginary, which is why I don't like using it.
We probably should keep an open mind about every possibility.
If we are here to learn and evolve, why should this stop in the beyond after this life?

"Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him." - Revelation 12:7-9

If one researches the Gnostics, then you find effective almost exactly what is being proposed (challenged?).

The Gnostic writings reinterpret the roles of many of the most important figures in the Bible:God, Christ, Adam and eve, the serpent in the Garden of Eden and even the angels. In fact, Gnostics see the world itself in a completely different light from other Christians. According to the Gnostics, God made a big mistake when He created the world. He's only fooling Himself and those who believe that He is Almighty, all knowing and merciful.

God and the world really exist, but they stand in the way of what's important - the divine spiritual realm that lies beyond God as most Christians understand him.

Gnostics believe they can see past the appearances of life to spiritual reality. They see the material world as a kind of sick display put on by God, who just wants attention and power. God wants people to think that he's the only God there is, and according to some Gnostics, he even believes this himself.

In contrast, say the Gnostics, there is a higher divine realm of light and angelic beings that most people arent aware of. God, his angels and the world they created only stand in the way of human efforts to see this more perfect truth.

Gnostics see the Jewish and Christian God as an angel named Ialdabaoth, or Samael, which means "blind god". He's also called Saklas, which means "fool". He's not the omnipotent ruler he claims to be, but only a demiurge, an inferior deity who creates the material world.

Christian authorities labeled Gnostics as heretics. The Gnostics believe the God worshiped by other Christians is pretty much a lot of hot air. According to Gnostics, Christ comes not to fulfill God's plan, but to help people escape from God's universe.

Some Gnostic sects maintained that the material body and the spirit had nothing to do with each other and that spirit achieved salvation thru knowledge rather than proper behavior.

An easy read about this is found in Chapter 14 (School of Hard Gnosis) in the book titled "The Complete IDIOT's GUIDE to Angels" by Jay Stevenson. ( http://www.amazon.com/The-Complete-Idiots-Guide-Angels/dp/0028629418 )

I'm new to forums, not sure how to use the Quote tool... just want to thank you, I'm seeing there are deeply knowledgeable people here! I had an STE of pure being and consciousness - and love - and peace - but I didn't see any God... so I'm excited to learn about Ialdabaoth!

I've done a bit of meditation, and realize that our working mind consciousness is linear so to speak and therefore cannot approach its Source, only surrender to it (yet we are That, there isn't really a surrender of anyone).

And HeartMind is another level of intelligence! <3)))
