Here a small poem I wrote in Luxembourgish language, as New Years Wishes on my cards:

Fridden
E Wonsch vu mir zu dir
Fridden
En Zoustand bei mir an dir
Fridden
E Menschheetsdraam
Hoffen op
Fridden

And here the translation :

Peace
A wish from me to you
Peace
A state of me and you
Peace
A dream of humanity
Hoping for
Peace
Another one:

Friendship,
goldnugget
between
rust,
rare,
but desired,
not easy
to find,
precious,
but not always
scratch-proof.
How good,
that she exists,
the friend.

Painting!
Ideas
arise
pass by
as clouds
in the blue,
touching
in flight
Aladins
Wonderlamp,
a Dschinny
takes flight.
Marguy, you are obviously a very creative person with art and poetry!

What a nice New Year's Wish to put on your cards!

I tried your Fridden poem on Google translate ~ it said 'Dutch detected' !!

Well Cathy,
Luxembourgish resembles German and Dutch.
One Day if I have time, I will do a topic with a bit of Luxembourgish history.
Creativity in my eyes is something everybody has. You just have to invite it, with time it's showing up
Marguy
In summeracademie I also followed a course in writing.
And the first thing we had to do was making what our teacher called 'Elfchen'. This of course has nothing to do with elves, but with the number eleven.
Make a little text. The rules are:
First line: one word
Second line: two words
Third line: three words
Fourth line: four words
Last line: one word
All together eleven words.
Due to the reduced quantity of words the resulting texts are very poetic.
Try it. I's funny.

Here a small example:

Thoughts
pass by
changing clouds alike
loose themselves in various
Dreams
Most of my writings I do in German language. This is the easiest for me.
Here some 'Elfchen' translated in English.

Cancer
sitting inside
living, eating, growing
you are me - my
life

Fight
defend yourself
still being here
jump in the cold
waters

Am
I still
in the flow
or already somewhere outside?
Destiny!

Let
go fall
into the depth
of inner space - now
rise
Hello Marguy

It's a very effective way of prose becoming poetic! Maybe the separated words make one think carefully about each and every single word.

Maybe
the separated
words make one
think more carefully about
each and every single word

Cathy
You are right Cathy.
First you have to think thoroughly about what you want to say,
then you have to reduce to the minimum
or you have to look up synonyms that fit the sentence better.
At the end it's poetry
