Dannion Brinkley

I just finished Dannion Brinkley's book: Saved by the Light. In his book he said that he received instructions in his NDE by "energy beings" to build some kind of healing or recovery center. This center would incorporate some kind of bed that the energy beings gave him directions on how to build. I guess it used some kind of light therapy. He supposedly completed it and may or may not have given it to Dr. Raymond Moody. According to Brinkley, this bed could cause Out Of Body Experiences. So the reason that I bring it up is that I wanted to follow up on whether or not he ever completed one of these centers. I figured it would be interesting content for the Forum(which is growing, by the way). I have scoured the internet and I can't find any references to it. I thought maybe some of you guys might have access to resources that I don't.

Ok. So I think his co-author's name is Paul Perry. I might try to email him and ask him if I can find an email address for him.

Damn. Sorry Tony. Yeah maybe I could just ask Paul if he knows anything about the centers.

We contacted the co-author of Saved by the Light, Paul Perry for information about the centers and his healing bed. Here is the amazing response we got back from him:

DANNION has not finished an official center, just a couple of experimental ones at his home.
I have tried the first couple of versions he created and found them to deliver what they promise.
I have encouraged him several times to do research with the beds but as of yet has not taken the necessary steps to do so.
In my opinion funding such research is the issue. It’s expensive and time consuming to do such research.

Off the top of my head I am considering e-mailing Jody and informing her about the e-mail we sent to Paul Perry and his response to it. I am certain that what his machine can do will be enormously useful for their research.

One of the things that I would want to ask Paul about would this: In D.B.'s book, he was so focused on the healing centers and the beds. Why did he stop? Dannion said that the energy beings told him that this was what he was supposed to do. Does he no longer believe this?

That is a great idea too, Derek. Based on my own attemt to contact Dannion Brinkley several years ago I received the impression that he was a very sick man. Maybe Paul Perry’s information is more accurate and up to date.

Ok I emailed our letter about Paul Perry to Jody. I'll just wait and see what kind of response we get.
