Derek's Lucid Dream Project

Post by DTR1975 »

Here I will place my posts pertaining to my attempts to have lucid dreams. My ultimate goal is to make contact with the spirit world and communicate with my subconscious. Hopefully this ability will be a powerful tool to improve myself and grow in knowledge.

I remember 3 dreams from last night and 1 more near the front of the sleep cycle that I could not remember for a total of 4 dreams. Usually I only have 3 so it may have helped taking my Sertaline at night.

I had one dream last night in which I performed a reality check. I tried to push my finger through my palms and tried to cover my mouth and nose and breathe. Neither of these worked. I will try again using different reality checks. Maybe the one where I have to read something.

I was so close! I dreamed that I was watching a movie about the earth's population crashing due to a pandemic. But then in my dream my reality check timer went off. So I did the reality check, and it worked! So I knew I was dreaming. Then as I was about to start doing stuff, my phone alarm went off again and woke me up. So I went and told my wife and son about it. And whined about how disappointed I was. But in fact, I was still dreaming! I just woke up a minute ago! My wife and son are still sleeping.

I have been taking the Lucidesc supplement for 2 days now. My dreams have been quite memorable, however no lucid dreams yet. I haven't done any reality checks in the dreams. Last night's dreams were very disturbing. Not quite nightmares though.

I did it. I finally had a lucid dream. After dreaming that I was lost at some kind of technology convention, I couldn't find my wife. After 1 false awakening, I remembered to do the reality checks. I put my hand over my nose and mouth and found that I could still breathe. So I realized I was dreaming. I remembered that I had to stay calm and stabilize the dream. So I did. I wandered around seeing people in bizarre outfits. I was so overwhelmed, I wasn't sure what to do. So I decided to fly to the roof of the building. It was pretty cool. I only lasted a couple of minutes and then I woke up. I have been taking the Lucidesc supplements at night.

Thanks guys. I'm kind of disappointed that the only thing that I could think of to do was fly, which has to be the most cliche lucid dream experience ever. But believe me, I was overwhelmed and couldn't come up with anything else on the spot. Once I have gotten a few of these lucid dreams under my belt, then I can begin phase 2.
