Names in the afterlife

I have noticed that in many of the mediumistic accounts that I have read, people reference their spirits by a name that the spirit has chosen for itself. For example William Stainton Moses often communicated with a spirit that referred to itself as "Imperator". The spirit of Charles Bradlaugh wished to be known as "The Invisible Guide". So it is highly probable that in the afterlife, spirits are permitted to chose their own name. I am one of those that wishes to change his name, as I was never fond of my name Derek or Rosen. I am thinking something Celtic or ancient Germanic like Alaric or Theoderich. What would you change your name to in the afterlife?

It was in reported in Crisis of Death by Ernesto Bozzano.
I'll find the page number later. As a disembodied spirit, Bradlaugh didn't want to hog all the credit that his living friends were getting from their roles, so publicly he wanted to be known as the "Invisible Guide"

I love my name Giulia. My husband called me “mamma” and I think that name also works fine.

In my culture, we have a giimez (godfather) who will spend 3 days with us until they know our spirit to decide our spirit name. My spirit name, right now, is A soul taking over another soul. That’s the rough translation, because my brother died right before I was born, and here I am:)
My mom chose “Jordan” based on my brothers name, Jerry. Right now, my spirit name seems to reflect myself, as I am an existential thinking and two spirited person. Not only did I bring my own soul - I brought my brothers. I am two spirited.

Jordan, how interesting. I am sorry for your family's loss.... Would you happen to have any recollection of meeting your brother in Spirit prior to being born?

No, not really… If I did the past life regression stuff, it would probably be possible. I just kind of know this is true, because of everything I’be been told when i was a kid, and my own self identity. It’s like puzzle pieces came together. Being two-spirit, my spirit name saying I am a spirit taking over another. It’s pretty symbolic

This is fascinating, Jordan. Have you ever read about “twin flames” as opposed to “soul mates”?
Even without any regression procedure, I did happen to have pre-birth memories, because of a STE I had at a rather complex and challenging time of my life around 2012. Despite the difficulties I was experiencing at the time, my pre-birth memories helped me a lot, and have continued to help until nowdays, even after I lost my husband in December last year. He is in the Spirit World, but I am in the Spirit World too and I continue to be one with him.
