Having no memory of a nde

My daughter-in-law underwent a definite nde 15 months ago. She bled out internally from a ruptured womb during a miscarriage, suffered a thrombosis and was under CPR for a total of 20 minutes. The internist who saved her in Mexico City says she died twice and that her survival is a miracle. She has no permanent physical damage except for her subsequent sterility. It has been extremely painful for my son and her to loose a second baby and to know they will never be able to conceive again, and for me to know I will probably die with no grandchildren, so we still cannot talk about the whole drama, her revival and the baby's death. The only person I can talk to about what happened to my daughter-in-law is her own mother, and she tells me her daughter saw nothing, remembers nothing about her passing. Is it normal for people who come back to life after being clinically dead to be completely blank about it, and have no recollection whatsoever?

I am sorry for what your family has gone through. I have heard in several NDEs so people don't recall the details until years after the event. If I can think of a specific one, I will post a link to it.

Many thanks. I am really puzzled by her lack of memory and wonder if it is blocked because of the sorrow of losing the baby girl she and my son had wanted so much. If someone knows of nde that bring no recollection, please let me know. I have 2 friends who had an nde during a complicated childborth and they both remember things, although not going very far in their journey because it seems their problem lasted not very long, not like my daughter-in-law, but I would like to know more about nde amnesia.

Welcome poetfrancoiseroy. As Derek already stated sometimes it takes years before a person remembers their NDE. Many NDEs are similar yet each is definitely unique. I am very sorry for your family's losses.... I believe that all happens as it should, for whatever reason, sad as that is at times. That said please know that those two wonderful Souls, your grandchildren, are together, watching over your family and will be waiting to reunite when the time is right. I do hope this gives you some comfort.
