Is it really possible to initiate contact with the deceased? Or is this strictly a mental exercise?

if you beliefe, that everything is connected, you would also beliefe, that it is possible to induce the contact.

i could "see" the deceased person with my "inner eye" talk to him and feel his emotions toward what i said.

i don't do it anymore, since i have proceeded on my way.

i now try to accept everything the way it is. and i trust in the thought that the holy ghost knows what is best for me and therefore always makes happen what is best for me..... my opinion on what is good or bad for me must be based on the past, but the holy ghost can see everything.

maybe for you it is best to induce communication, so you might learn, that everything is connected 😀

I have not have this experience yet, but in reading various articles and the book below (available on Amazon) it is not a mental exercises. I plan to get this done in 3-4 months as soon as waiting period is over. The procedure suggests a better chance of successful induction if one waits at least 6 months or longer after death of a loved one.

ABSTRACT: Seventy-one clients (50 females, 21 males) who were treated with
Induced After-Death Communication (IADC) therapy completed the author-de-
veloped Grief Symptom Questionnaire (GSQ) before and after the two-session
treatment protocol and at six months post-treatment. Factor analyses revealed
three factors—Depression, Anger, and Positive Coping—underlying nine GSQ
items. Seventy-nine percent of the sample reported experiencing an IADC dur-
ing treatment—an experience of communication with a deceased loved one they
were grieving. In comparison with pre-treatment, at post-treatment partici-
pants reported statistically significant improvements in their grief symptoms,
an increase in belief in an afterlife, an improvement in Positive Coping, and
decreased Anger and Depression. Implications of the findings and methodologi-
cal limitations are discussed.

I did a little research on my own and I found a directory of clinicians who practice IADC therapy.

Several of them are actually pretty close to me and I am considering contacting them for more info.

The IADC part starts at around time mark 24:00. The EMDR is before that. Extremely brave of this lady to show all that vulnerability for the world to see.
