19. Roseto Effect

Many long-term studies, including the 50 year Roseto study and the 85 year Harvard Study of Adult Development, found that having close-knit relationships is as important for longevity as diet, sleep, and exercise, yet it’s often neglected by fitness gurus. If you want to live, love.

This is a great point! The Roseto effect is a fascinating example of how social connection can significantly impact health and longevity. It's definitely something everyone should consider when focusing on overall well-being.

Here are some additional points:

A close-knit community with strong social bonds displays lower rates of heart disease compared to nearby towns.

I have found that strong friendships or a supportive family environment has always positively impacted my own life.

Do you have any tips for building stronger social connections?

What is the Roseto Effect, Giulia? I think Anthony left and took his content with him.

Of course acceptance helps you survive and want to survive as hostility as we're seeing in the present UK riots is saying go away, we don't want you here (living in the same space as us). It is mob violence like the cells in the body attacking external invaders but in this case rejecting culture (lifestyle). Mentally you see it where 'outsiders' instead of embracing difference try to convert it into safe, recognisable sameness.
