Those last two topics no longer exist, Tony. Do you have a working link?
I had a dozen of EMDR sessions in February and March this year. We didn’t use eye movement because I suffer from strabismus. Instead, we used the butterfly hug. The visions I had during the treatment were quite extraordinary. The psychotherapist would have me focus on a traumatic event while keeping my eyes shut and using the butterfly hug technique. After a minute or so she would give me a break and ask what had transpired. She was a very skilled psychotherapist and had an hypnotic voice.
After a number of sessions I found that I am most probably able to self-administer the treatment.

Re: How To Self Administer EMDR Therapy
Thank you, Tony.
The only difference for me was that my therapist had me place my hands on my arms just below my shoulders and pat the area.
